This email is for you if you want your emails to sell even without discounts.

Honest update

I've always wanted to:
 
Write emails that you like.
 
Emails you enjoy reading.
 
They're exciting – but not annoying.
 
They're nice – but not boring.
 
Because if you receive many emails, you only read the ones that are well-written.
 
I realized:
 
If every email looks like an advertisement, people will eventually stop reading them.
 
So I recently tried something out for my client.
 
I left everything out:
 
  • No pictures.
  • No headings.
  • Just a text.
 
Like this one.
 
And I told a story.
 
From the founder.
 
  1. What he wanted.
  2. What went wrong.
  3. How he did it.
 
And in the end?
 
I just said:
 
"PS: Here you can find our products."
 
What happened?
Not only the CTR, but also the revenue was significantly better.

More people have opened the email.
More people have clicked.
And more people bought something.

This showed me:
 
People like stories.
 
Not an advertisement.
 
It works with Facebook ads, too.
 
When real people tell real stories.
 
Why else would UGC content have been so hyped for so long?
 
So why not in emails too?
 
So when you write your next email, ask yourself:
 
What story do you want to tell?
 
PS:
 
A little hack I often use to boost the open rate:
 
I simply write "Hey" plus the customer's first name in the subject line.
 
This sparks curiosity, feels personal, and almost always leads to more openness.
 
That's why this email is subject line. 😉
