Mach aus einem Produkt ein ganzes Angebot - Josh's Diaries #21

Turn one product into a whole offer - Josh's Diaries #21

This email is for you if you're running ads for your Shopify store and feel like, "Somehow, there's more to it."

Honest update

In the last newsletter, I showed you how you can increase your customers' LTV with a value ladder—in other words, how you can ensure that they buy from you not just once, but multiple times.

Today it's about the other side:

How to get more out of your first purchase .

The key word here is: AOV (Average Order Value).

Because if you're already running ads and investing time and budget into them, you want every single visit to be as worthwhile as possible, right?

And that’s where the AOV comes into play:

It shows you how much customers spend on average per order.

The higher the AOV, the more revenue with the same traffic.

What many shops completely forget:

Bundles.

I have often heard the sentence:

"I don't have a large product range – what else should I offer after the purchase?"

And that’s exactly where the error in thinking lies:

Not every lever has to be pulled after the purchase.

What if you only have one product?

Pack it three times in a bundle.

Make it a value package.

Offer a volume discount.

This gives your customers a reason to buy more right away – the first time.

Turn a bestseller into a complete offer – and increase the AOV.

I implemented the whole thing in my own shop:

Previously, my shop only offered individual courses.

Today there are suitable bundles:

And what happens?

Some customers no longer buy for just €100, but directly for €400 to €800.

At the first purchase.

Bundle overview in my shop

And I see the same thing in other shops:

The best e-com brands have their own bundle pages, linked directly in the navigation.

Because they know: a certain percentage of customers want more.

And when you make them the right offer, they don't say no – they say: "Nice, I'll take it all."

My tip:

Think about which products you can logically bundle together.

Make it a good offer. And make sure it's visible on your site.

The AOV may not increase on its own.

But bundles are a damn good start.
